(Q) I logged out or suspended my Virtual Computer, how do I log back in?
(A) If you log out or suspend the operating system you simply restart the virtual machine and "Webintense Stealth" will log back in automatically.
(Q) When the "Webintense Stealth" virtual appliance starts it asks me to download and install VMware tools. Is it necessary for me to do this?
(A) No, any time there is a newer version of the "Webintense Stealth" virtual computer released on this site it will already have the newest version of the tools installed. Whenever "Webintense Stealth" is first started up it will sometimes ask this question by default.
(Q) Can I add a printer to the "Webintense Stealth" Virtual Computer?
(A) No, "Webintense Stealth" is for safe internet use. Although a printer can be added to the VMware virtual machine the "Webintense Stealth" virtual computer is not set up for a printer. Printing can easily be accomplished by transfering the files to the Host computer and then printing as you would normally
(Q) Can I adjust my RAM and Processors?
(A) Yes, after selecting the "Webintense Stealth" appliance in the VMware list, select "Edit Virtual Machine Settings". To adjust the RAM Select "Memory" and set the memory to whatever you desire. (Note: do not set the memory higher than half of what the *Host computer is capable of.) To set the processors select "Processors" and set it to the number of processors desired. (Note: you cannot exceed the number of Processors that are on the *Host computer.)
(Q) If I am using the "Webintense Stealth" virtual appliance do I still need security on my computer?
(A) Yes. "Webintense Stealth" is an addition to the Host* computer's security, not a replacement. After testing "Webintense Stealth" on computers with no other security we found no malicious software of any kind however, this does not change the fact that the internet is a dangerous place. It is highly recommended that in addition to the "Webintense Stealth" virtual appliance adequate security software is also installed on the *Host computer.
(Q) Can I use "Webintense Stealth" on Virtualbox?
(A) No, not at this time. Virtualbox uses hard drive imaging which is a feature in the bios settings. Not all computers are enabled with this feature. One of our test computers is new and does not have that feature available in the bios settings. The only option for us is to make a 32-bit version. If enough people request this then we will make a 32-bit version for Virtualbox.
(Q) Some Intel Computers when attempting to use "Webintense Stealth" will give error's saying that Intel® Virtualization Technology is inactive, What can I do to fix this?
(A) If this happens to you, Just restart computer and enter bios settings, find Intel Virtualization Technology and switch it from Disabled, to Enabled. This should take care of the problem
